About ESA

Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) is the out-of-work welfare benefit paid in the United Kingdom to people who are having difficulty finding work because of their long-term illness or disability.It was introduced in 2008 to replace Incapacity Benefit. when a person is declared unfit by GP, they will recieve the basic allownce (which is 71.20 pound as of now) till further assessment with ATOS which will take 13 weeks. After ATOS approval a person may continue to get basic allowances or he/she can get an extra  28.45 pounds which can be placed at work relacted activities.
